Anne Kooge

I first proposed the idea of what I had in mind a few months before the special celebration we were having. Within a few days, she came back with some sketches and thoughts. Between family members we went from there, met Shivaun twice where she interviewed the family and gave us more drafts to look at. She was able to capture ideas and feelings so well and put it all together in a work that was at once aesthetically pleasing and resonant of memories of our children and what it was to be our family.

We were thrilled with the finished sculpture which Shivaun took great pains to wrap and transport to its resting place in our garden which, living in the hills, was a huge challenge!

Thank you again Shivaun for your talent and passion, we are very grateful to the recipients of your work!
